Adults can gain advantage from lower risk of heart disease, Type 2 diabetes, and even certain types of cancer. Even people who are in the later years of their lives should be getting exercise, as it can improve cognitive function and lower the risk of falls. Getting physical activity into your daily routine also just makes you happier overall.

Even if you can’t get in a rigorous work out every day, there are things you can do to sneak a little burn into your routine. For instance, taking the stairs instead of the elevator, or going for a walk with your family after dinner. You can even move your legs and feet and stretch while you’re at your desk, or take a 5-minute walk on your breaks at work.
